When planners, engineers and data scientists evaluate the “total cost of ownership” of the T&D asset over the life of the asset, undergound will increasingly be the answer.

A second phase of the Houston resilience work will include system hardening, STRATEGIC UNDERGROUNDING, installation of self-healing grid technology and enhancements to the company’s outage tracker, CenterPoint said
Let’s watch the results of improved resilience (the ability to withstand HIGH impact, LOW probability events with little or no outages) in the years to come.
